A Lumagen Video Processor is the ideal complement to any home entertainment system with video projector, plasma screen, LCD screen etc. Lumagen Video Processors significantly enhance the quality of the video signal from a variety of analogue and digital, low and high-definition sources and creates a completely new visual experience. Made from only the highest quality components and built to strict quality standards means any Lumagen product will complement the most high-end of systems and can offer picture quality improvements to just about anything... The Lumagen VisionHDQ is a new model to sit just below the ProHDP in the range, offering a more digitally oriented experience. The Vision HDQ sacrifices the ProHDPs significant amount of analogue inputs for a bank of four DVI-I sockets. Four YUV/RGB inputs become just two, with only one capable of RGB Scart input. And 2 assignable s-video inputs becomes one fixed s-video input. There is also just a single SDI. However the gain is four HDCP DVI-I inputs (still 576i/480i compatible), and a DVI and 5 BNC analogue output. This new model being geared toward those who will be early adopters of HDCP protected sources such as Sky HD, Blu Ray Disc, PS3. As with the HDP and ProHDP the specification of the HDQ is far more advanced than originally planned. Unlike every other processor in even similar price ranges, all models in the Lumagen range now support per-pixel 1080i deinterlacing. This is a feature usually reserved for HQV or VXP powered video processors, however Lumagen have simply written their own code which can sit aside the Silicon Image processor. The VisionHDP, HDQ and ProHDP also sport film-mode detection for 1080i sources, a necessity to correctly deinterlace 1080i movies to full frame 1080p before up or downscaling to the display's native resolution. Again something only seen on processors costing far more... |
