The Lumagen VisionProHDP is the ultimate solution for videophile homecinema systems. The Lumagen VisionProHDP shares the more advanced processing techniques of the VisionHDP but it's differences lie on a physical level. With the larger size case, a more efficient PSU is used with absolute minimum interference, 75ohm BNC connections are used for all analogue inputs and output (high grade component and s-video leads are supplied), and high quality digital-analogue converters for optimum results from analogue connections (such as RGB scart from a digital TV decoder). The VisionProHDP also boasts more analogue inputs which can be configured for several different source signal types, 2 SDI inputs and digital via DVI-D, or analogue via BNCs output.

With the VisionHDP and VisionProHDP, Lumagen undertake continuous improvements to the scaling and deinterlacing abilities of these processors which can easily by updated at home or brought into us for an update. By manufacturing the VisionHDP with currently dormant circuit board hardware for future deinterlacing software upgrades, Lumagen have ensured that the product will enjoy a very long lease of life and will always be top performer in its class.

Update: in a surprise firmware update Lumagen have been able to include a full 1080i per-pixel deinterlacing algorithm into the Lumagen VisionDVI! This raises the performance bar quite significantly as no other processor even close to this price offers this kind of HDTV performance. The HD range (Vision HDP, Vision HDQ, VisionProHDP) gain this and 1080i film mode detection for perfect translation back to 1080p!
