The new MV-5 processor uses much of the design technology developed for Lexicon's renowned MC-12. Combined with one of Lexicon's new multi-channel amplifiers, the MV-5 provides the pin sharp imaging and large-scale sound field that characterises the elite of audio visual control systems.
Using the latest LOGIC7 decoding, the MV-5 can create a 7.1 channel output from stereo, 5.1 and 6.1 channel sources. Using Logic 7 means that music sounds more natural, while movies and video games are more compelling.
The MV-5's precise performance is easy to set up and calibrate. Automated calibration will set the characteristics for all aspects of speaker set up including the choice of appropriate crossover points. A sophisticated room EQ system intelligently compensates for frequency response aberrations and speaker performance variations to balance the entire system perfectly for the room. The MV-5 can even calibrate and store for three different listening positions within the room.
It features integrated Faroudja® video processing allowing all connected video signals to be up-converted to a single HDMI output, while high quality scalers precisely up-scale all incoming signals to a 720p or 1080i output resolution. Multiple video parameters can be independently configured for every source component allowing each device to be displayed with the best possible image quality.
New features to Lexicon include a USB connection for PC music and an optional iPod dock. Control of the iPod can be through the MV-5's front panel or remote control. Meta-Data from the iPod, showing current playing information, can also be viewed on the MV-5's front panel or via its HDMI on-screen display.
The MV-5 offers bi-directional RS-232 control along with a direct IR input and discreet IR commands.
