Utilising a newly developed universal drive, professional video components and high-resolution audio circuitry, Lexicon's RT-20 is a reference universal disc player capable of the highest performance standards.
Audio quality is fundamental to the design of any Lexicon component and the RT-20 is no exception. Matched ultra-high resolution 24-bit 192kHz DACs are used for each channel, whilst pure DSD conversion ensures SACD playback of the highest order. Digital domain bass management and time alignment is provided for both DVD-A and SACD. Finally multiple power supplies, isolated audio components and symmetrical board layouts ensure absolute precision irrespective of format.
Analog Devices™ components have been used extensively in many Lexicon processors and their latest 14-bit 216MHz video decoder forms the heart of the RT-20's analogue video circuitry. A separate 10-bit professional de-interlacer ensures progressive scan images of the highest quality. Each video output is fed by a dedicated 14-bit video DAC permitting simultaneous output of all available connections. Two component video, one S-video, one RGB Scart and two composite video outputs ensure the RT-20 can be connected to any monitor.
Video performance for HDMI / (HDCP-DVI) equipped monitors and projectors was a key design consideration and with its integrated video scaler, the RT-20 is capable of exceptional image clarity. Specific to the HDMI output, a professional 10-bit video scaler provides accurate up-conversion of all outgoing signals: DVDs can be output at 480p / 576p / 720p / 1080i resolutions.
With multiple video parameters, three video memories, NSV™ video enhancement, an AES/EBU balanced digital output, an IR input and two way RS232 control, Lexicon's RT-20 will integrate seamlessly within systems of the highest calibre.
