Ultra Slim Full HD TV’s
Thanks to JVC's original concave mirror system, the new 58 and 65 inch Slim Full HD TV models have a cabinet depth* of less than 30cm (29.5cm for the 65-inch model and 27.2cm for the 58-inch model). What's more, these models can even be positioned against the wall or hung from the wall without having to consider extra space for air intake. The 1cm wide bezel helps to enhance the slimness of the design while providing an “airy-cabinet” look that allows viewers to enjoy big picture performance in style.
Full HD 1080p
Utilising more than a decade of experience with D-ILA technology, JVC has developed a new 0.7-inch D-ILA microdevice for use in Full HD applications to ensure smooth, film-like images. This microdevice enables the Slim Full HD TVs to deliver a high brightness level, a dark-room contrast of 10,000:1*, and a high resolution picture with natural colours as well as precise grey-scaling in both light and dark areas of the screen.
Full HD TV Optical System
The Full HD TV's optical system is unique in both its compact size and its ability to produce a brighter, high-resolution picture with ample contrast. Light emitted from a high-pressure mercury lamp is first converted to video signals when light passes through an optical engine comprised of 3 colour select filters, 3 D-ILA devices (one each for the RGB colours), and 4 polarised beam splitters (PBS). The PBS then combines light into one prism to minimise loss of contrast and maintain image uniformity. The combined light from the prism is finally reflected onto a mirror via the projection lens and projected onto the screen. The remarkable result is a naturally focused, flicker-free image that is not affected by colour flashes or rainbow effects.
