NEC, whose technologies set the standards in the field of business use projectors, has developed a home theater projector featuring superior functions that incorporate the most advanced technologies.

The NEC HT1100 is the optimum home theater projector supporting all the requirements for home entertainment. It has a rich variety of input/output terminals to support a wide range of input sources , a PC card viewer function for displaying images from a digital camera, and an Aspect Ratio Selectable function of 16:9 and 4:3.

The NEC HT1100 features an Easy Installation, Simple Operation function - innovative NEC technology incorporated into the projector. The white colour and spherical design compliment any household decor. In addition, the following functions address both ecology and environmental issues.

Vivid Picture Quality
The incredibly high contrast of 3500:1 (2500:1 when the iris opens) has been achieved by employing NEC's unique optical technology, including a 12 deg & Black DMD chip and an optical engine with an variable IRIS. The NEC HT1100 displays deep blacks, rich details and vibrant images with an increased perception of depth.
Cross colour and cross luminance phenomena caused by NTSC signal method have been drastically reduced by using 3D Y/C separation circuit which is built in a 10-bit Video Decoder LSI developed by using NEC's advanced IC technology. Furthermore, NEC developed a new LSI with a SweetVision™ function using an optical illusion, which is the first technology in the industry, to create image quality with incomparable contrast.

Productive variety of I/O terminals
The HT1100 terminals interface with a wide range of video signal sources. Equipped with the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection System) compatible DVI (Digital Visual Interface) and the PC Card Viewer supporting digital camera images, the NEC HT1100 supports a variety of home entertainment multimedia.

3D Reform
Ordinary projectors must be set directly in front of the screen. The HT1100 projects a square image from almost any angle. The 3D Reform function, using a scaling LSI developed by NEC, corrects 3D distortions not obtainable with ordinary four direction trapezoid correction (top and bottom, right and left). With this function, the NEC HT1100 permits flexible installation and projects images that are more beautiful.
