The DOMINO 20 represented Sim2's first model of their DOMINO range launched in late 2003. The range has since expanded to add a DOMINO 30 model, utilising HD2+ Technology for a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels compared to the 20's 1024 x 576 array. Both 20 and 30 models have since gained HDMI compatilbe editions, gaining the more popular "H" monicker to give the DOMINO 20H and DOMINO30H as you see here. The latest release in the DOMINO brand being the baby DOMINO 18 offering world leading SIM2 technology at an unbelievable price.

As is true for the whole SIM2 range, DOMINO or GRAND THEATRE, the picture is totally unique to front projection through SIM2s tireless dedication to achieving the perfect image. They may not boast "brand name" lenses but the optics in these projectors are second to nothing. Pixel perfect geometry and light output accross the entire image ensure a faultlessly recreated picture, corner-to-corner. Meanwhile advanced optical technology realistically cuts colour break-up artefacts (the "Rainbow Effect") to an industry minimum. Special care to the optics, and colour wheel filters happilly reduces green dithering also, while retaining, in-fact extending background detail. Meanwhile Faroudja DCDi processing (including 3:2 reverse telecine) ensures the projected image is faithful to the original, just as the director intended it. The result is not an image that not just explodes accross the screen, but one that can can deliver total image quality in every department. Accept no substitute.

Based on Texas Instruments DLP™ technology - HD2+ chip (1280 x 720 pixels) - the DOMINO 30H projector delivers sharp, high contrast images (respectively >2000:1 and >2800:1), edge-to-edge definition, an excellent colorimetry and gray scale tracking.

Blacks & whites are exceptional on and off screen, creating an impressive depth of vision; a true cinema experience can be created with the addition of a long throw lens, allowing the projector to be positioned behind the viewer - equally, the projector is so versatile, it can be placed on a bookshelf or installed on the ceiling opposite the screen; an exceptionally quiet mechanical design has been developed by SIM2 for extremely low acoustic noise.

Also, the DOMINO projectors benefit from the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art, processing available including Faroudja de-interlacing with Directional Correlational Deinterlacing (DCDi™) that prevents the introduction of motion artifacts and jagged edges. They also incorporate 3:2 pull down circuitry for flawless reproduction of film sources. A combination of SIM2 proprietary light engine and the 6-segment color wheel ensures that the DOMINOs deliver an accurate color rendition: reds, greens and blues are rich saturated and vibrant colors for a film-like image.
