Fixed Frame Screen
Stewart Luxus Deluxe Screenwall

The Screenwall is a fixed frame screen meaning it cannot retract into a concealed box. This is the most common solution for dedicated Home Cinema rooms where having an 8ft wide rectangle on the wall at all times is not an issue, for the more Living Room install we can see how this might prove problematic!! The Screenwall gives the advantages of a perfectly tensioned screen material and lower purchase cost since there are no electronics, motors etc necessary.

The Deluxe Screenwall uses a 3 1/4" wide frame with a very gentle gradient to prevent any possible shading onto the projected image, whilst also providing for some projection overscan. This frame can be inset into a wall or cabinet for flush mounted solution.

Electric Tab-Tensioned Screen
Stewart Luxus "Model A" Electriscreen

The Model A Electriscreen is a wall or ceiling mounted electric screen using Stewart's own Tab-Guy tensioning system. This series of tabs around the sides of the material are linked via cord that ensures at all time there is an equal amount of tension applied accross the screens surface to ensure a totally flat, ripple free image.

In-Ceiling Electric Screen
Stewart Visionary Electriscreen

The Visionary Electriscreen is essentially a Luxus "Model A" as above, except in an in-ceiling casing. This means it can be installed flush to the level of your ceiling with only the (paintable) bottom edge visible, and a narrow gap to allow the screen itself to lower through.

Motorized Masking Screens

For each on-wall, on-ceiling and in-ceiling screen Stewart have a choice of Motorized Masking variants. The simple horizontal or vertical models allow a curtain to either be drawn in from the sides, or up/down from the top/bottom in order to cover any unused projection space when watching differently aspected material. The more complicated models allow for complete resizing on both axis...

Studiotek 130

This screen is generally used with high output broadcast quality projection systems to produce images to the strictest color and white field uniformity standards. This material is over 30% brighter than standard matte white surface materials. It was developed under the direction of Joe Kane and certified by the Imaging Science Foundation.

Grayhawk RS

Grayhawk RS is a neutral density gray screen material with a fabulous dynamic range providing vibrant colors, shadow detailing, and incredible black levels. Grayhawk RS is certified by Joe Kane Production (JKP) and the Image Science Foundation (ISF) as a true reference screen material for digital projectors

Firehawk

FireHawk increases black levels, shadow detailing and color saturation.  FireHawk maximizes screen brightness at 40 percent peak foot lambert increase over all existing gray screens. Preserves image contrast by dampening room cross light reflection as much as 90 percent.

Microperf Screens

All screen materials in the Stewart range are available in microperf format. A MicroPerf Screen provides tens of thousands of perforations per square foot, resulting in less than 1db of sound loss when the center channel speaker is placed behind the screen. Each perforation is less than .020th of an inch in diameter; smaller the diameter of an ordinary staple.

Due to the vast size of the screen and the viewing distance, in movie theaters, perforations are larger in diameter and do not compromise the image. Home theaters are much smaller in size and therefore must have smaller perforations in order not to see the holes.  With Stewart's Lucasfilm THX Ultra Certified MicroPerf, you can now more closely emulate a movie theater by placing the center channel speaker behind the screen surface and achieve the ultimate in audiophile sound without sacrificing videophile quality.

To effectively pass high and mid-frequency sounds without radical equalization in a home theater, Stewart's acoustically transparent MicroPerf option design resembles speaker grill cloth in sound and transmission characteristics.

In addition, these microperforations are not visible at the viewing distances found at home.
