By sharing the same driver array and advanced technology as AudioPro's Black Diamond V2, the Black Pearl V2 could be described as the monitor version of its larger range-mate.

Utilising a very high quality 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter, Black Pearl V2 exemplifies the innovative approach to design that is evident in every AudioPro speaker. The tweeter is embedded in a die-cast aluminium capsule. The capsule floats (but is still completely fixed in place), suspended against the speaker box. Due to the double insulation of the tweeter capsule, cabinet vibrations are isolated from the tweeter itself, resulting in an even phase linearity and low distortion.

A newly designed 6.5” air-mixed polypropylene oxide (PPO) bass unit is both lighter and more rigid than conventional polypropylene. The bass driver also has two voice coils: a conventional voice coil and a compensating ring designed to reduce eddy currents and distortion and to provide a higher power handling capacity.

In common with all models within the Image series, cabinet construction and finish are of the highest order: sound dampening MDF is treated with hand finished layers of black lacquer. Heavy-duty gold-plated bi-wiring posts ensure the cleanest connection.

The Black Pearl can be successfully used as a stereo loudspeaker or for both front and surround channels within a complete multi-channel system. It can be used as a voice-matched surround speaker with the Black Diamond or Blue Diamond floor-standing loudspeakers. The Black Vector V2 centre channel is voice matched to the Black Pearl V2. The B1.28 or B1.36 active subwoofers are the ideal sonic and aesthetic match for a complete Black Pearl home theatre system.
