The Blue Diamond V2 is the flagship of AudioPro's Image series, combining design elements from the Black Diamond V2 (itself a speaker of exceptional ability) with an integrated active subwoofer.

Each speaker contains a 175W Ace-Bass amplifier and 10” long throw bass driver.
As with all Image series models, the Blue Diamond V2 utilises a high quality driver array.

Its 1" silk dome super-tweeter and 6.5” dual voice coil woofer combine with the 10” active subwoofer to provide a frequency response from 22Hz all the way up to 25 kHz.

The tweeter, embedded within a floating aluminium double chamber, provides even phase linearity, and low distortion. Due to the double insulation of the tweeter capsule, cabinet vibrations are isolated from the tweeter itself.

The newly designed 6.5” air-mixed polypropylene oxide (PPO) bass unit is both lighter and more rigid than conventional polypropylene. The bass driver also has two voice coils: a normal voice coil and a compensating ring designed to reduce eddy currents, resulting in lower distortion and higher power handling capacity.

The downward firing bass reflex port plays against a spreading lens that meets the port to distribute the low-frequency energy throughout the room. To ensure absolute stability, the Blue Diamond V2 utilises a heavy pedestal base with die-cast aluminium feet. Both spikes and rubber feet are supplied.

All drive units are magnetically shielded, whilst heavy-duty gold-plated bi-wiring posts ensure optimum connection.

The voice-matched Black Vector V2 centre channel speaker provides seamless integration with the Blue Diamond V2 within a home theatre system, whilst the Blue Diamond's integrated subwoofers negate the requirement for an external subwoofer. The built-in subwoofers can readily handle all low frequency information for both front and surround channels with an independently controlled line-level input, providing precise tailoring of the LFE channel.

As with all Image series models a high-gloss black lacquer is meticulously applied. The value of such attention to detail can be readily appreciated in the finished speaker.
