The Qube is a unique floor standing loudspeaker, specifically designed for surround applications were performance and discreet installation are of equal importance.
A specially designed cabinet and hyperbolic driver array fires the sound up the wall, which reflects the sound back into the room. The Qube is particularly appropriate for installations were the use of more conventional satellite speakers or in-ceiling designs are either too visible or impractical to consider.
The Qube can also be used for front channel applications within a stereo system. In this environment, the advantage of reflected sound is its sheer lack of directionality. Essentially, the sound will fill the room: listening is not limited to the ‘sweet spot' of a more conventional speaker. So effective is the Qube in this regard that it can be positioned in numerous locations within a room, even hidden in corners.
In most instances a pair of Qubes would be used. However it can be purchased as a single speaker for mono surround back channel applications.
Despite its small size, the Qube is capable of reproducing surprisingly deep bass. If additional bass impact is required, any AudioPro subwoofer can be readily integrated.
Like all models within the Image series, the Qube comes in a high-gloss hand-lacquered finish. All drivers are fully shielded, whilst heavy-duty gold plated binding posts ensure optimum connection.
